Moore was surprised how many bad reviews I read about Blu Ray players in general, have nothing to do with the player, but has everything to do with the knowledge of the missing person on electronics. During the investigation, a Blu-ray player for my parents, I met a man who gave a player a negative review, because the box that the player is told that he used the cable modem was unable to support two Ethernet connected devices and that he would need a router for the player and your home computer to be connected to the Internet at the same time. Blu Ray is not the production work to the principal of the basic data. That would be like getting a car dealership fool not to tell a customer that the car needs fuel to work properly. The following is what makes me mad when people complain about firmware updates. Wake up people. Your player is a stupid computer that is made specifically for video and updates from time to time, you are pissed at Microsoft every time the computer at home is allowed to download updates? No, you do not. It can be annoying, but you do it anyway because you know it will make your computer run better. Also whining about an update needs out of the box, is just stupid. Actually makes me feel more comfortable with my purchase. It lets me know that the producer is still work to my device even better after they have my money. And it lets me know that when new applications are released that my players be able to digest it, and once again my home theater experience better. Samsung BD-D5700 was purchased because of built-in WiFi (I really have no idea why they even WiFi Ready players). I researched and compared all mid-priced products Blu Ray player with built-in WiFi, and it was either a Samsung or Sony. I wanted to Hulu Plus program, and these were the only two with the option Both Samsung and Sony models of good reviews, but each had some negative. Samsung had a slow patch loading time (time it takes to turn on the player and play a movie) and Sony had apparently irregular video a little steam WiFi (Netflix, Hulu, YouTube). This player should be used with my parents in an N-wireless router, so that Sony's gone. But a few weeks later I ended up buying a Sony that connects me to a hard line in my own home. Both work amazingly and have not had a single problem. But I knew what the status of each would be used and planned in advance. And for that review is complete, do not download Samsung not faster than the Sony, but is by no means the waiting time before Blu Ray player. 41 of 42 people found this review helpful. Better than expected by Ryan Burnett I have much to add to recent comments worthy of this product. I give you my $ 002 and lets you decide if that helps. I bought this after the death of my beloved LG BD390 whose ability to identify all records, both confused and frustrated me. What I loved the player the ability to almost everything I burned to disc, and the convenience of Netflix streaming to play. What I do not like, even if it worked, the main menu structure and the lack of sorting / searching for Netflix app. So Flash is required to forward this year in March, then I lost the ability to play all discs and left with a device that could only stream Netflix (although a bad interface) and PC content (that was the unequal DLNA) and I'm ready to research the purchase of something that hopefully will last longer and more of what I want in a round players. With the expansion of online content I was hoping for a player who was actually a Roku box with the option of Blu-ray discs to play it ... a and be able to play many types of video files (divx, avi, mp4, avi, etc.) from streams and files burned to a
