Klainer This player is the same player as the S570 from Sony, except that it is mainly sold at Costco, Sam's Club and BJ Wholesale Club. The unit can be purchased with those of up to $ 199. The Blu-Ray plays very well, loads fast and the picture quality is excellent. The same can be said for the DVD. The BDP-BX57 is connected to a Sharp Aquos LCD HDTV 1080p via HDMI. The streaming content on the Internet that is why I bought this player. I connected a cable and a wireless connection at a time without problems. I have a cable modem and a hard and fast was really looking forward to Netflix streaming, that I can on the PS3 that is in our family room. Even with the latest firmware, Netflix can be a bit 'rough or buffering frequently. The units of the PS3 pad, although the same wired connection. I had the video setting of the Sony player to "Auto" default 1080P Apparently, there is a firmware problem with Netflix and the device can try Upconvert video? Interestingly, when I changed my video setting to 1080i, Sony, Netflix buffering went away and it has not taken place. This should be no problem because you do not get Netflix in 1080, even when streaming HD content. But I would not default to 1080i when connected to a 1080p TV via HDMI. Yet it seemed the right thing for me at least until the next firmware update. I contacted Sony about this issue and were routed to an offshore help desk employee who said it was a matter Netflix. Defeinitely This is not the case, because the PS3 version of the Netflix nooit buffers of the same wired connection 1080. I found technical support to a major disappointment and the person was not as knowledgeable as expected. Finally, the remote is not very good if you want to use the remote to control the TV, there are codes on the back of the manual but the manual does not tell you how to enter codes. Great player with user friendly menus, blue-ray looks good. From Anjana Nigam This is the Costco version of the BDP-S570 Sony Blu-ray Disc. It comes with an HDMI cable in the box and Costco return policy of 90 days if you buy from them. Otherwise just go for the BDP-570 from Amazon. This is a very stylish looking player, even the start button merges with your face is light enough and too much can easily stack on all your other devices. The main strength of this play is the number of video streaming options, it gives you various services from Netflix, Amazon On Demand, Pandora, NPR, YouTube and other sites as Wired, Epicurious, Style, Michael Jackson, Dr. Oz, Howcast, eHow, golf links and more. The list goes on. The interface is much better than the Panasonic which has just opened a window on my screen to the YouTube videos, while the player fills the screen. It seems more compatible with my Panasonic HDTV which Panny Blu-Ray player. This player is 3D-ready, although I do not have a 3D TV still. It is a network that is managed, you must upgrade to use it. The wireless connection is easy via the interface and guides you step by step. Startup is fast, it's an opportunity for an even faster start, but there is more power. The upscaling is pretty good. I put a star like Netflix streaming is still slow, although it may be on Netflix as a player. The streaming is definitely better than my Wii, if you have an iPod Touch or iPhone to download the free Remote app BD. I can never find my remote and it comes in handy and has a cool interface where you just slide.
