I also checked chat with Sony on their website for some information that I could not find any reviews on the site. This device is the BDP-BX38. It is primarily sold through outlets of the association alone. It is almost identical to the BDPS380. Both devices come with a manual that lists the same two devices on the cover. Via PDF directly from Sony for me I learned the differences are as follows: The BDP-BX38 comes with an HDMI cable, BIVL: Live Streaming, entertainment DB Navigator (Gracenote, etc.), indicator bits for transmission it; 3D: BD-ROM and streaming of 3D Camcorder. Neither comes with a built-in Wi-Fi, but can through a WiFi adapter Sony added to any USB port. Both come with the same remote. Armed with this knowledge, I read reviews of both devices before deciding on the BDP-BX38 was one for me, I decided this based on the fact that if I did not create a WiFi network in my home wireless router is parked on the same shelf directly behind Blu-Ray for an Ethernet cable is an easy solution to this safe for me and I do not have to pay for a feature that I never used. I had a terrible Samsung Blu-Ray, I tried to go to work for almost a year before taking a sledgehammer to something for some fun into pieces prior to recycling e-waste disposal in my area. Configure the Sony was much less of a headache than Samsung. While Sony has updated in less than 5 minutes compared to hours of being locked out of my Samsung. It played my Collectors Edition 3-Disc Blu-Ray avatars without hiccups compared with about one hour of play, there will or not with Samsung. I just wish I had discovered this afternoon and did not give up before the Samsung! Oh, and Sony comes with a cool application for Android and Apple devices to replace the remote for those who like Sony and no flashy menus and text entry awkward recommend the application of the phone if you have a phone that supports . If you ever come to hate or hate this Sony Blu-ray I will update this review. Meanwhile, go have fun! Updated: July 24, 2011 - Now I tried Neflix flowing through Time Warner Cable. We have internet broadband cable, but without paying the extra high-speed package. With a cable connection from my router for my Blu-Ray discs are clean, no pulling or pixelation. I am very pleased with the selection, but that's another review altogether! Sony product does its job perfectly. 16 of 18 people found this review helpful. For the love Trey Morales bought this a few days ago and love it. I chose this model because it is a Sony 1 and 2 I was fascinated by the remote around. Blu-ray looks good. I love the system menu, like the PS3. I do not know why people write negative things about it as a wireless-ready. It is clear, says wireless adapter is not included on the box. It is wireless ready, there is a USB port on the back of a Sony WiFi adapter is used. The only thing I like to see more of this unit will be the ability for the PS3 media server would like to view. Sony, if you read this, you will be my Christmas card list for firmware upgrade. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. Overall a pretty good player at a good price by Scott C. First Blu-Ray discs look at this amazing player. However, the device rating a star or two nights when I played my first problem occurred decreased. Fringe Season on Blu Ray. The episodes played well. Access to "BD-Live", or most of the "features" in the locked unit. Tried a couple of "corrections" suggested by Sony engineers is the only or wait in vain for the next FW update and hopefully fixed.
