3D Technology Checklist This product is 3D-related. To help you get a great 3D experience, use the checklist below to ensure you have everything you need. 3D viewing requires: A DisplayFirst, you'll need a 3D-ready display--whether it's a 3D HDTV, 3D projector, or 3D computer monitor. These displays have more processing power than standard 2D models for displaying 3D images in rapid succession. A SourceYour display may be ready for 3D playback, but you'll still need a device to read 3D content. This can be a cable box with a subscription to a 3D channel, a 3D Blu-ray Disc player, or a PlayStation 3 system. 3D Content3D content--the actual entertainment, in other words--will be played back using the source mentioned above, whether it's a 3D broadcast from your cable provider, a 3D Blu-ray Disc, or a 3D video game. 3D GlassesFor now, the vast majority of 3D HDTVs require glasses for 3D viewing. Many use powered "active shutter" glasses, others polarized "passive" glasses. You'll need one pair per viewer, and they'll have to be compatible with your display, whether they're the same brand, or a pair of "universal" glasses designed to work across brands. HDMI CableTo connect your source (such as a 3D Blu-ray Disc player) to your display, you'll need a high-speed HDMI cable. Cables with this designation feature bandwidth speeds up to 10.2 Gbps (gigabits per second), for carrying the 3D signal without any loss of quality. If you want to get more information about 3D, shop our 3D products, watch videos, or interact with other customers, we invite you to visit 3D 101, our customer center about everything 3D. Internet-Ready Devices Internet-ready devices use your broadband connection to deliver dynamic content to your television, whether it's streaming video from Netflix, new music from Pandora, or a quick glance at today's weather forecast. Although there is overlap, each manufacturer offers a unique bundle of free or paid services, including streaming video and music, social networking apps, online photo galleries, news and financial updates, weather info, sports scores, and a variety of other smartphone-like applications. Manufacturers continue to add new content to their offerings, keeping customers current through firmware updates, and making a bit of research a prudent step in your buying decision. Learn more about Internet-ready devices and HDTVs, how they work, what services are offered by different manufacturers, and exactly what you'll need to get started at our Internet TV 101 customer center. Most helpful customer reviews 48 of 49 people found this review helpful. Excellent Blu-ray, television, and so, so smart ..... By C. Luckenbach I needed an aging Panasonic DMP-BD35K, which have decided to selectively in the comics, he would play the (usually new songs are not loaded, I'm not sure whether it is a lack of new firmware is replaced, the Panasonic has released an update in about two years, or if it does not work anymore.). I had to buy Panasonic opinion read many other sites investigated, but this purchase, I decided to take a chance with Samsung. I have a Samsung TV that I like and reviews of Samsung 2010 Blu-ray player was also good. Almost as good as the "King of the Hill" Oppo (after test scores CNET video.). I was also aware that many negative reviews of the 2010-BD-C6500 and I have also noticed that it was usually in the form of web-based applications, and not in relation to the video playback I have an Apple TV, which I Netflix Streaming (it does an excellent job of just 720p, but no Biggy to me) and I do not really have an advantage for the other applications. Comes in BD-D6500, I get it and plug it in about 5 minutes. The plant is equipped with many of the menu choices to 'Auto' basics. I'm still playing with the opportunity to see if anything looks better / more accurately. I pop in a disc (avatar), and wow, it just looked better. I start to run multiple BD and they all look great. The blacks are dark without zealous increase contrast. I run it at 24Hz, and it seems to do better as well (it was always so-so on the Panasonic.). The Dark Knight in Imax shots look great. And as long as I have through a series of BD I noticed how fast it is really fast player loads discs a lot older than Panasonic. I am very impressed with this player. I've also played some old DVDs and upscale to see how well he did a great job. Even in this case clearly did Panasonic. Now, with respect to the programs they are interested in Smart TV, I tried to watch a movie on Vudu, as it gave me a free rental, and after selecting a movie (Machete), the main actor. Maybe not like the movies I took, but still should not have done. I noticed that when you register the player, Vudu, together with all other programs I went out to work. Maybe I need to register the player before I was able to use programs? And there is no internal memory for BD Live, which is a little lame. You must use an external USB drive. In the end, I am very happy with this purchase and to be completely honest, a part of me hopes that the player could have picked up only to justify the purchase price of $ 500 from the Divi BD-93, but is not. It's just a very good Blu-ray and this is what I wanted. So if your not too concerned with applications of Smart TV (now working for me), or very concerned with playing files off your PC (I think so, but has no use for it.) Y then buy with confidence, as I'm sure that once the different review sites get their hands on this new BD-D6500, the results are stellar. 16 of 17 people found this review helpful. wide range through the Internet for blu ray atlantaeuph I bought this after returning a google tv sony blu ray. After opening the box, which had the basic configuration is completed within about 5 minutes. The creation of the blu ray players took a little longer, because I had new accounts for the Samsung Smart TV, not a big deal just takes some time to finish the setup, I loved it! ADVANTAGES: 1. Good content offered: Hulu Plus, Netflix, Blockbuster, Vudu, MLB Network, local event listings, TV shows, and much more! Easy to navigate user interface second. Much of the graphic content, great characters, objects are grouped in a logical order, so you can easily find. 3rd Good basic search 4 ..
