If you use an AV receiver that supports HDMI 1.4 (3-D), and your not if you have not purchased in the last 6 months, so it's huge. Allows connection to a TV with HDMI 1.4 3-D directly with the second HDMI 1.3 HDMI which passes the data to an AV receiver for audio. (A non-HDMI 1.4 receiver does not pass the video signal into 3-D for a new 3-D TV, so a single HDMI 3-D Blu-ray is necessary to use HDMI to go directly to the TV and use the analog audio outputs of the receiver, a compromise significant).
